In the 2026 Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly election, TVK contested on an independent platform against entrenched Dravidian power centers, achieving a landmark victory with 108 seats. In the October 2026 by-elections, TVK swept both Madurantakam and Dharapuram constituencies, expanding its legislative strength to 110 seats and commanding 123 seats with its secular alliance partners.
