The campaign is part of DMK’s broader strategy to bring its senior leaders into the constituency in the final phase of the election battle.
Udhayanidhi Stalin’s Dharapuram Campaign
According to the announced schedule, Udhayanidhi Stalin is scheduled to campaign at several locations across the Dharapuram constituency.
His programme includes campaign meetings at Nathampalayam, Mulanur, Kolathupalayam and Kundadam, according to reports.
Earlier reports had also listed campaign programmes at Kannivadi, Mulanur, Dharapuram and Kundadam, highlighting the DMK’s effort to cover multiple parts of the constituency during the campaign.
DMK’s Focus on S. Suganya
DMK has fielded S. Suganya in the Dharapuram by-election.
Party functionaries and former ministers have already been campaigning across villages and local areas in support of her candidature. The party has reportedly deployed district-level leaders and other senior functionaries for door-to-door and constituency-level campaigning.
The DMK campaign has also seen political exchanges with TVK candidate P. Sathyabama, who resigned as an AIADMK MLA before joining TVK, resulting in the by-election.
